We would like to share that at the FCCLA Regional, State and National competition students are NOT divided by school size like in athletics. This means our students from Central Heights are competing against all sizes of schools, up to and including 6A schools from around the state of Texas. Mrs. Chrystal Reneau does an incredible job helping the students prepare for this event. Our students take this very seriously, and put in long hours preparing for their events. We are extremely proud of this incredibly talented group of students. 10 teams competed at the Regional level and 9 of them have advanced to state! Below are the results:
Hailey Sparks - 1st place in Nutrition & Wellness - level 3
Aanu Odunuga, Paris Ngo and Paola Sifuentes - 1st place in Food Innovations - level 3: They beat out 17 other schools!
Katy Jacks - 1st place in Career Investigation - level 3
London Richardson, Brianna Sanchez, & Allison Fong 1st place in Repurpose & Redesign - level 3: These girls beat out 22 other schools! They worked closely with the special ed department at our elementary school, especially Stacy Smith, to create one of the most amazing projects!
Olivia Padilla & Ava Steen - 1st place in Nutrition & Wellness - level 2
Maddi Ady & Lexi Birkelbach - 2nd place in Sports Nutrition - level 3
Sydney French & Zoe Williamson - 2nd place in Food Innovation - level 2
Shelby Sparks & Julia, Bickham - 4th place in Interpersonal Communication - level 3
